Agronomy

Too often, growers rely on a small amount of soil information to make their decisions, which can lead to inaccurate crop applications from the beginning of the season to the end. Understanding how each field differs enables growers to make the best decisions on which soils to use that provide the greatest return on their planting investments.

Cardinal Agriculture Services, a division of Brookside Agra, offers one of the most accurate soil/tissue sampling programs available on the market today. With agriculture labs set up across the country, our Agronomy experts work closely with farmers to harvest quality soil samples using our AgRobotics Autoprobes™, then send samples to a qualified lab for testing. Our experts will analyze the sample results and provide recommendations based on the following criteria:

  • Compaction
  • Respiration
  • Biological activity
  • Makeup and changeability
  • Chemical relationships
  • Water holding capacity
  • Carbon dioxide and oxygen movement

Over a five-year period, our programs have saved growers up to 35% on their agronomy programs, plus trimmed in-put costs by as much as $15.00 per acre in the initial two years and even more after.
