Brookside Agra has expanded its new Agronomy Division with the addition of Agronomy Technician Karen Nehrkorn of DuBois, Illinois.
Nehrkorn’s responsibilities include soil testing, crop scouting for plant health and invasive weeds and pests, assisting with analysis and recommendations, organizing operations, coordinating customer accounts, and assisting with billing and data transfers.
Growing up on a grain and livestock operation and helping manage the family farm, Nehrkorn has a Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Soil Environmental Management and a minor in Agribusiness Economics from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. She also volunteers on the executive board of the Perry County Agriculture Fair Society and serves as secretary of the Illinois Hot Farm Stock Pullers Association.
